MaintenanceIf you are one of those people that applies the saying, “Don’t fix what ain’t broken” to everything we have news. When it comes to sprinklers you are probably going to have to end up fixing a lot of things that should have never of broken in the first place. The first thing that people want to know about maintenance is why it benefits them. We like to tell them to run the numbers. The idea behind timely maintenance is to avoid potential problems or stop them in their tracks. The cost is a flat rate few, that may have some replacement costs added. Full replacements are way more expensive!
What We Actually Do On A Maintenance RunWhat we are going to be doing is inspecting the system. As we have cleared up before, that does not mean that every maintenance run includes shovels and a pile of dirt. We are going to register the readings and make sure that they fall within reasonable ranges that we would consider safe. There is also going to be an inspection involved. Here we are going to want to be taking a look at all of the sprinkler heads that you have. Just making sure that everything is running smoothly.
We Keep A Record Of Our ClientsWe just talked about going through and checking the readings writing them down and this and that. We don’t just do all of this to charge you an extra buck. We actually use that data for your benefit first and foremost, but this data also allows us to compare and contrast different systems in the area. It is different than just seeing if the pressure is falling within the limits that some graph made by a company say it should read. A lot of times having local knowledge of the way certain issues develop is very beneficial.
Sprinkler Head ReplacementSprinkler heads are going to be the least durable part of your whole sprinkler system. Since they are going to be facing the outdoors a lot of times it is more likely for them to be hit by rocks, stepped on and things of that nature. Usually, besides the ones that are used in agriculture, they are not made from really hard materials at all. Especially some of the newer sprinklers. There is a reason behind that. If you are on a sports field you don’t want to be stepping on a hard surface of any kind at any time.
How Often Do They Need Maintenance?By this point, we hope that we have convinced you that maintenance is something that is necessary and it can really help out. Usually allowing us to come in once every six months is going to be more than ok. For our customers, we actually have certain deals with the systems that you buy from us. We can come to check the system out for free after the first couple of months and things like that.
